The nursing home nestles along the Route d’Arlon, at a respectful distance from the tall trees. It encloses outdoor spaces and creates a representative parvis near the intersection. On the park side, the building with its bent façade forms an ensemble with the nursing home and the apartments and encloses a well-tended promenade garden.
The apartment buildings have their own address on the Route d’Olm. They are lined up at the edge of the park and face the rear park area.

In this way, the functional areas of the nursing home and the flats are functionally separated, but spatially they form a unified image. The apartment buildings contribute to clarifying the northern entrance to Capellen. The existing access routes on the site are further thought out and adapted.

The program is interpreted as a structured arrangement of functional units (rooms, common areas, access and side rooms) that can be grouped together. On one hand, this approach allows the project to be integrated into the context; the scale of the neighbouring buildings is taken up. On the other hand, the existing nursing home can be integrated functionally and spatially into the design. The apartment buildings are also part of the ensemble and were developed in a similar logic.
